Crucible Fragments

The height of the crucible is 15.5". Its diameter was about 16.75". There are other crucible fragments with a slightly different curve. It would be pretty difficult to guess a measurement because they are fairly small fragments.

Description from our Past Perfect record:Earthen crucible from area of Wassuc (Glastonbury Glass Factory) in South Glastonbury; was unearthed in three (3) sections. Company was formed in 1816 and was in operation for approximately 20 years.
